About Your Visit
To
enhance your retreat experience and to preserve the ashram atmosphere,
we offer vegetarian meals, smoke-free, alcohol-free and illegal
drug-free environment.
What to Bring
(suggested items):
Bathrobe
Soft-soled bedroom slippers for indoors.
(Shoes are not worn in any of the ashram buildings.)
Slip-on shoes for walking between buildings
Walking shoes
Flashlight
Alarm clock
Personal toiletries and medications
If you are planning to visit from
October to April, bring suitable clothing for mild to cold weather.
If you would like to attend a Temple program please bring
comfortable, modest clothing.

Helpful
Information
Water:
reverse osmosis water is available in common areas throughout the
ashram. You may wish to bring a water bottle for your personal use.
Linens: and towels are provided.
Austin Weather: Austin is known
for its frequent weather changes. Warm weather is typical from May to
October with July and August bringing the hottest daytime
temperatures. Winter is usually moderate with variable temperatures
ranging from mild, to cool to cold from November through April.
Medical Considerations: all guests
are responsible for their own medical needs including over-the-counter
medications. A hospital with 24-hour emergency room facility is
located seven miles from Barsana Dham. The Front Desk maintains
contact information for the nearest walk-in medical facilities.

available for your use.

Temple at Barsana Dham: is open every day for visitors.
Visitors Day Room & Library: is
open from 9:00 am 7:00 pm.
Temple Shop: carries chanting
cassettes, devotional supplies, books, audio and video tapes and other
items.
Extending Your Stay: if you wish
to stay in Barsana Dham for additional days after the conclusion of
your program, please inquire at the Front Desk.
